Tire Care

Tire’s sidewall contains all the necessary information about your tire. You will find the following there:

A. Tyre Width

The width of your tire (in inches) measured from sidewall to sidewall.

B. Wheel Diameter

The diameter (height) of the wheel in inches.

C. Load Index

The load index indicate the limits of the tire’s capacity to bear a load at a given inflation pressure i.e. maximum carrying capacity is the potential load that it can handle safely at a given inflation pressure and speed (in kg).

For example, a tire with a load index of 125 can carry 1650 kgs of weight.

D. Speed rating

The Speed ratings are based on laboratory tests that relate to performance on the road, the maximum speed at which the tire can carry a load when it is correctly inflated corresponding to its Load Index, the letter mentioned at the end of the sidewall, after load index number.

A tire with a speed rating of A6 has a maximum speed of 146 km/h.
